Setting up a blog is PITA
While blogging about your favorite topic is fun, setting up a blog is a pain in the ass, but thanks to the good people/person at Daily Blogging Tips, there is a handy guide available that provides you step by step (almost) instructions on setting up your blog. This is only for serious bloggers who want to setup the blog right the first time so that they have a better chance of earning that $10 for 100 hours worth of work
What I am referring to is a post at DailyBloggingTips called Blog Setup: 40 Practical Tips. Its time consuming stuff but seems worth it. Also, you will need a basic familiarity with web stuff to really get going. But if you are not web-savvy, no worries, you will just spend an extra half hour here and there getting familiar. You will find very useful tips to download useful plugins such as sitemap builder, Akismet (prevent comment spam), database backup, Wordpress Stats, etc.
I have used the guide twice, and it made me feel good both times. I haven’t been blogging long enough to know whether its helped my blog, but I feel good about my blog.
